Many visitors to Barcelona are unaware of the diversity and beauty of Catalunya, which includes high mountains in the north and lush plains in the centre. From Friday until Sunday the the Mercat d’Escapades on the Avenida de la Catedral de Barcelona aims to make visitors to the city more aware of these options.
In addition to publicising options for exploring the heritage of Catalunya, visitors will be able to buy trips, activities and experiences.
A total of 111 companies are participating. The event is organized into four areas: culture and gastronomy, nature, wine, and family holidays. As well as gathering information, visitors will be invited to take place in activities such as workshops; wine tastings, beer or oil tastings, or sampling culinary delicacies from the Catalan countryside.
