Not quite as famous as its older sibling, the Barcelona Marathon, the Half Marathon is none-the-less a significant event, and the route takes in much of Barcelona’s finest scenery.

Beginning at Passeig de Pujades, the route continues through Paral•lel, Gran Via, Diagonal, Selva de Mar, Port Olímpic and back to Pujades, with the iconic Arc de Triomf as the finishing line.

In total, the race spans over 21 kilometres, and is open to wheelchair users.

If you’re a keen runner, the half marathon is an excellent opportunity to combine exercise with an outdoor experience of the city.

The Barcelona Half Marathon takes places this Sunday, the 14th of February.
